Instructions for Abstract Preparation

All abstracts should be in English and the text should not exceed 500 words. All abstracts must be submitted on-line through the abstract submission system. Please copy and paste your abstract directly into the system. Abstract submission for oral presentations is CLOSED. If you wish to submit an abstract for a poster presentation you may do so here. Please indicate that you are requesting a poster presentation. If you select oral presentation, your submission will not be considered.

 

Title: Please capitalize the first letter of the title and of any names as appropriate.

Topic: ISSY36 invites contributions on the following topics:

  • Ecology and Biogeography
  • Evolutionary Genomics
  • Food and Beverage Fermentation
  • Functional Genomics
  • Genome Engineering in Non-Traditional Yeasts
  • Industrial Ethanol Production
  • Wine Fermentation
  • Synthetic Biology
  • Remembering Lex Scheffers: FEMS Yeast Research Yeast Physiology session

Body of the abstract: Maximum of 500 words. Should contain a brief introduction, a statement of the objectives or purpose of the research, a brief explanation of the methods or approaches used, the key results of the research and a brief conclusion that puts the research findings into context. The body of the abstract should be typed as a single paragraph into the corresponding field in the submission site and must contain complete sentences with correct grammar and spelling.

Authors: Enter all authors into the system by their full name and last names. Indicate at least one person as the lead author. The lead author is expected to register for the conference before the Early Bird deadline, May 10, 2022.

 

** One submission per presenting author only please.

** It is strongly recommended to have the abstract revised for English composition, grammar, and style before submission. The lead (presenting) author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.

**Abstracts will be distributed among the ISSY36 Committee members for review. The Committee reserves the right to refuse submissions if the instructions are not followed and based on the number, theme, and quality of submissions.

**Final abstract acceptance by the Committee is subject to payment of registration fees by the registration Early Bird Deadline May 10, 2022.

Poster Dimensions: The maximum size of your poster should be: 4 feet high by 3.5 feet wide.
