The University of British Columbia

UBC is situated at the western tip of Point Grey Peninsula away from the traffic and noise of the city, yet within 25 minutes of downtown by transit. The 763-hectares campus boasts spectacular views of the Pacific ocean over the Burrard Inlet, the north shore mountains and the downtown core of Vancouver. Pacific Spirit Regional Park, the largest "green belt" of luscious forested parkland in Vancouver, separates UBC from vibrant downtown metropolitan Vancouver.

The university campus itself has something to offer for every delegate. Visitors to the campus are able to enjoy world class museums, athletic facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, a spacious gym and field areas, a variety of shops and services, and restaurants and food providers to tempt any appetite. A variety of accommodation is available on campus (see Accommodation page) within a comfortable walking distance from the conference venue.
